I’m a journalist based in Toronto who’s passionate about telling small stories that showcase a bigger picture.
I’m a recent graduate of the journalism program at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson). I’ve reported and written on various topics for Chatelaine, The Eyeopener and The Unaffiliated Press. I’ve also pitched, edited and published lots of features as Managing Editor at The Unaffiliated Press.
I want to write more about marginalized communities, especially stories about people with different overlapping identities (ie. women of colour or disabled women). I want to tell stories that haven’t traditionally been featured in the news. I’m also really interested in the video games scene, and who gets to be a gamer. Anything about pop culture or media is right up my alley!
I’m an avid reader of anything fictional and I’m learning to appreciate non-fiction! I like playing video games, although I’m not very good at them. Half my diet is matcha lattes and bubble teas (don’t tell my mom).
